All LEAP outlets prioritize sustainable growing practices, small-scale producers,
a diversity of products and people, and a sense of community.
See below for the many ways LEAP connects eaters with local food.
LEAP's mission is rooted in the farmers, vendors, and customers who sell and shop at our markets. All products are raised or prepared within 100 miles of our markets. All markets accept and match SNAP, Medicaid, and more.
Every week, year round, the LEAP Mobile Market arrives at neighborhoods across the region to feed residents hungry for healthy vegetables and fruits. The mobile market's reach is expanding to provide more shoppers regular access to fresh produce. Click to find out how to support the mobile market, request a mobile market stop, or invite the mobile market to your event.
LEAP is committed to creating and expanding connections between local food eaters and producers. At LEAP's Online Marketplace, shoppers find a convenient, year round way to support local farms and food businesses.
In Roanoke’s West End neighborhood, fresh fruits and vegetables are often hard to find. LEAP is building a retail store to make fresh and locally produced food more available to the community. This store is expected to open in Spring 2024.
